The origins of The Research Faculty go back to 2013, when Bruce Conradie began proofreading and editing dissertations, theses, and journal articles. This was on a parttime basis. In 2018, Bruce switched to fulltime work in this field. In that year, he added research-methodology support and statistical consulting to the product mix and expanded the business to include associate editors and statistical experts.
By 2022, the business had outgrown its origins as a sole proprietorship and Bruce registered The Research Faculty (Pty) Ltd (a private limited-liability company).
Today, the research team comprises language editors (all qualified to a minimum of masters level) and statistics experts (PhD-qualified and holding professorships).
The company is a registered vendor with numerous universities. The registered head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Research Faculty does not provide:

Thesis-writing services
Reworking or improving the content of students’ work (what is being said and the narrative thread)
Editing services intended to mask plaigarism
Statistical services that violate universities’ ethical standards
